VIRGINIA — Virginia Tech has hired three former Virginia Tech students to fill the vacancies on its faculty and staff, the school announced Monday.
The hires are the first to come from the school’s graduate programs.
They are the third graduate hires from the Virginia Tech School of Nursing to be hired this year.
Vermont-based school President and CEO John F. Stoddard announced in September that the school would hire three more graduate students in 2016, adding to the eight graduate faculty members hired last year.
Stoddard said at the time that the new hires would be part of a strategy to increase the schools research, teaching and outreach to all students and students of color.
Virginia Tech announced last week that it will begin hiring faculty and support staff in April.
