A new job listing on Verizon’s website says the company is looking for “hundreds of home health aides,” and it’s hiring.
The job description for the new Verizon Home Health Assistant position reads: “A certified health care provider with the expertise to work with home health care providers in the communities we serve, Verizon is looking to fill positions that include all levels of care, including home health.
If you’re interested in joining our home health team, please contact our Care Delivery Team.””
As part of our commitment to serving our community, we’re excited to offer home health assistant positions to our new Verizon home health associates.
If you’re interested in joining our home health team, please contact our Care Delivery Team.”
The job posting also says Verizon will be offering training to home health staffers and “provide additional resources for home health teams” to “improve their communication and coordination.”
Verizon did not immediately respond to a request for comment from CBC News.
Verizon said in a news release that it’s bringing “the expertise of our healthcare team and training to help our home care providers and community members better communicate, coordinate and provide better care.”
The company said it will start recruiting home health workers on Wednesday, and that it will begin training home health attendants in February.
